The One-Hand Trekker from Victorinox is a beautifully modern take on the classic swiss army knife, blending the reliable functionality of the old models with a sleek and stylish design fit for the 21st century.
The first thing you’ll notice on the Trekker is the attention-grabbing 111mm (roughly 4.4 inches) serrated blade. Two things set this blade apart from previous models. First, it’s one of only a few blades to have a locking mechanism. Second, it has a hole for quick and easy one-handed opening.
Old Swiss Army knives were great for doing a bunch of different tasks but the slip-joints on those models limited what you could do. The blade of this Trekker, on the other hand, features a liner locking system, so you have a strong pocket knife that can handle any tough jobs you throw at it.
Along with the 111mm blade, the Trekker also has the various tools that make up a good swiss army knife, including a wood saw, bottle opener, can opener, reamer, Phillips screwdriver, keyring, tweezers and a toothpick.
Let’s not forgot about the look of the knife either. This version of the finely shaped Trekker comes with olive drab scales and serrations on the main blade.
There’s not much more you could ask for in a knife.
